okay fair enough.

If you want to go more technical... ;)
1.When you invite someone for a "Braai", the person gets the idea that there will be "Wors" (There is no English for that), other meat, sport and some super cheap toxic beverage (Castle lager will do).
2.When you invite someone for a BBQ, the person gets the idea that this will be all about the food with some socializing.
/Note: This is not an official study on association, just an observation.

As I don't drink alcohol, like "wors" or watch SA's popular sports, (if I had to invite someone) I wouldn't want them to be confused about what to expect.

And a jersey is actually a jumper. You can usually get those at the cafe; just turn left at the second robot.

cafe = from french origin. Off License = from the UK.
As our Off License/cafes usually cell fish and chips as well, cafe is more suited. :D

No barbeque argument from me, a braai is a braai :)
But, hey, words like Traffic Lights and Traffic Circles have been around for quite some time...
So "roundabout" is not going to pass the test then. <Traffic circle>:D

.cafe is a "corner shop". A European cafe is where you have a coffee or tea.

"bottle store"="Off-license"

Its a robotic traffic light, in the old days traffic lights were manually changed so they were traffic lights.
Now they have an electronic controller and they are synchronised with other lights.

Hence they are robots.... Finnish klar

Cars used to be manual too... (Donkey car)
Now that they're fairly automatic, are they called robots too?
