IT salary trends this year

I'm sorry but, whoever these guys interviewed are underpayed. The intern working under me currently earns more than the average web designer? And he havent even yet completed squit! Guess it truelly is only the sods of the industry that had the time to fill in these polls...definetly not reflecting the Guateng market
 
In johannesburg, 6 months experience, MCSE, earning 10k a month, pretty happy about that :)
 
Those figures must be Nett ... there is no way ERP consultants or EAs are earning R35k and R40k gross
 
Yea would love to know where these nubmers come from as I dont get close to anything even mentioned for the unskilled people :(

Lol, same here. I support quite a few people (about 160) daily and I get a small teaspoon of the lowest figure in the article :p

then you need to go job hunting......seriously...especially if you are currently residing in Guateng. Or maybe your salary is a reflection of your skill/works attitude/qualification ?

those figures seem rather low for the highest paid .... EAs earn way more than 40k .... wonder how/where they got the figures from?? also .... which area in SA is that for?? maybe durban?? cause jhb is def more!!

Def agree - those figures are shockingly low.

I work my ass off to be honest. Never say die is my motto, so it's not an attitude issue First year in corporate yes. I'm patient. My time will come soon. Rewards are earned and I aim to earn it.
 
true true, having the right contacts and social engineering never hurts...but ultimately its your skill that will keep the doors open
