What sort of engineering degree does one need to have, to become an ops engineer?

No qualifications strictly required. We're more keen on people who like to learn new things and are keen to help us grow our infrastructure, as well as support our users where needed. We use our own system in house, so this means staff and occasionally clients, though most of our staff are pretty tech savvy.

Salary would depend on experience and skillset, and is negotiable. Working environment is great, offices overlook CBD and greenpoint. Regular impromptu braais and drinks at the office are par for the course.

Using a gmail address was a concern, though it just forwards to our careers@ address. I was asked to post the ad without naming the company. Next time maybe we'll register a new domain and do the whois privacy thing instead.
