I've done some searching on this - on Google and here, maybe not well enough, but I did try 
I've just about given up on this software. The phone is great for my requirements, (4S) and its been great for almost a year now, PC iTunes playback just plain sucks. If I stream a podcast, listen to a track I bought or preview a song, one of my cores (of 4) maxes out at 100% and the application interface is almost unusable. This happens in Server 2008R2 or Windows 8 pro. Google fixes don't work. I see there is another version out now 11.0.4.5, but the release notes just mention some cloud stuff (not sure this is applicable to me). WTF that thread is doing, it's doing it in vain.
Anybody else experience and /or fix this?
