I am having trouble with the new iTunes 11 update..

A music library I was updating has no duplicate files at all in the main music folder, I have checked all the files and folders. All seems fine.

When I scan the folder in iTunes all the song display twice (Even tho it is pointing to the same file)

Can anyone shed some light here?
Appreciated.

Seems like many are having the same problem when you search online.. Can anyone assist?
(iTunes keeps repeating the same file in the library, even theo there is only one source file for each song..)

I went back to iTunes 10. Don't experience that as a downgrade at all. Give them a few months to get the bugfixes out.

I removed all iTunes preferences and setup a brand new library, much more responsive. A totally new version of any software is etter off with a refresh.

If you're on a Windows system, than I agree. However, on my OS X system, I just upgraded and all is fine. :)

I'm on OSX too, upgrade went fine but cleaning out helped me better organize my library, also subscribed to match and got rid of everything that could not be matched(was mostly pirated anyway ;p).

How is the Match service? Any good?
I'd only recommend it if your entire collection was bought through iTunes or can guarantee a match for your collection, unmatched songs will be uploaded which is a schlep in this country. Best thing for me was getting nice new copies of older 128k rips I had, deleted them from my computer and downloaded the AAC matches. :)
