antihistiminics: e.g. loratadine (non-sedative), or doxylamine succinate (strong sedative);
anti-inflammatories: pseudoephedrine hcl (in sufficient doses), ibuprofen (analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory)
most cold and flu remedies have a combo of the above. pseudoephedrine is the most important ingredient for me personally.
and get a xylometazoline spray if you can't breathe.
vitamin c can't hurt, although its effect is overstated and oversold imo.
your best chance at fighting it is to sleep and let your body do what it does best.
