Assume we are lucky and the new Ivy Bridge processors are released on April 29 as anticipated, how long after will arrive at our local wholesalers?

June?!? That's insane. I desperately need to upgrade but want to avoid getting a Sandy Bridge...

The listed price seems to be $225. How will that translate into the local wholesale price? At R8 to the $ + VAT it works out to R2052 but I'm sure they add some margin...

Retail price in South Africa will be around the R2800-R3000 mark

I see alot of the z68 motherboards will have compatiblity for new ivy bridge. How well it will work in a sandy bridge motherboard is to be seen.

I hear IB is releasing today?

If it does, I am wanting to get a 3570K ASAP.

Does anyone know how long it took SB to get here after their Int launch?

From what I have read Ivy Bridge is releasing at 12PM EST so it means around 7PM for us
Hopefully our suppliers will have them by the end of the week as I am waiting for a 3770K myself

Just had a chat with a rebeltech sales person, they expecting/hoping from the 1st week of May
"crosses fingers for this week"

1st week of may :( I really want my 3570K now. I'm going to check with Pinnacle and Rectron, hopefully they get them sooner
