Ivy dies

So that is the only reason why she stepped down.. Guess the goverment isn't really interested in change after all.

as much as i dont wish death upon anyone, this may be a blessing for the telecoms in SA - provided we dont get another 71 yr old fart , or even worse a Zulu dressed in traditional gear!!!!

Yes, do keep them clean, but do remember she was not well liked in communications circles so do not criticise when people speak ill of her either.

I didn't criticise anyone, but you have to remember that we do not own this forum, we are merely guests here, and have to follow the rules set by the mods. They have already closed another thread with comments that bordered on the insensitive. So, you can either have a decent comment on this topic or no comment at all. The choice is up to you.

She is dead. So just let it go.

My condolences to her family.

I dont see how people could ridicule her, protest about her, insult her, swear at her while shes alive... but when she dies we have to be sensitive?

She paid the ultimate price for her idiotic decisions...

Have you ever been to a funeral where when asked to say a few words, someone gets up and starts throwing insults around?

I don't see your point considering her death was not a consequence of her decisions:rolleyes:.

Sorry, my reply wasn't directly aimed at you, just a generalisation. However, this is an open forum and people should be given the option of being critical (but in this instance I understand that they should refrain from being insensitive when doing so).

My condolences to her family, as well, but I cannot, most definitely, give her any praise for the work she did when she was Communications Minister.

aaah get over it will u, when Saddam Husein was exterminated, i didnt hear anyone in this forum saying shame.
she was crap at her job and thats why we have crap telecoms in this country, period. its about time we stopped being so friggin sensitive about everything, just say it like it is!!!!

This is not a funeral, so insults shouldnt a problem, I criticised her in life, i will do so in death as well...

and how do u know she didnt die as a consequence of her decisions? :p

I say who knows.. some mysterious hokus pokus maybe...

People used to slag this chick off like nobody's business when she was alive.... now that she is dead all of a sudden we somehow need to be somewhat more respectful?!!? Why? People die all of the time and I didn't know here and I don't know her family so I won't give them my condolences. I'm glad she is dead!

I was no fan of hers, but I am sure that if someone you love, died, you'd be pissed off if we went around insulting the deceased.

Can you honestly answer "no"?

Why would you be more pissed off when someone insults a person who is dead and beyond caring rather than when they are alive and might be directly affected? Odd.

Somebody pulled the plug on her connection to Life...

I feel sad for her family, but feel 10 times happier about future telecoms in this country...

Lol.. she got capped!

Same can be said about the ou krokodil. People did not like him alive and nobody cared when he died, why should it be any different with Ivy ?

Are you suggesting that maybe her doctors could have found out about some breakthrough in another country if they had internet access?

Perhaps.

I think she abused her bandwidth usage and got capped.
