Ivy dies

I was no fan of hers, but I am sure that if someone you love, died, you'd be pissed off if we went around insulting the deceased.

Can you honestly answer "no"?

I'm sure that her family was equally unhappy that we were insulting her when she was alive. I fail to see how death somehow means that all of a sudden someone needs to be spoken of with respect. When she alive she was a stupid idiot who did nothing but try to protect the government's monopoly over the telecommunications market. The whole of South Africa suffered because of her decisions. Now that she is dead, she's still that same f__king idiot.. just a little less alive. Why now do we need to pay her some kind of respect.. because she's dead? Sorry! I don't see the logic!?!?

And in a few weeks, no one will care. In which case you can say what you like about her for all eternity. Apparently there is some sort of decorum involved with a recently deceased person, though if its not someone I know personally I don't know why I should give a damn?

Perhaps it's because death is seen as such an awful fate. She may be an idiot but she's suffered death. Something you wouldn't wanna wish on your worst enemy kind of thing. I don't get it either.

Except its 100% fatal in most cases? There's no point on wishing death on your worst enemy because they are going to die at some point, regardless... ;)

meh, death is not so bad! Living... now that is bad!

it's not about whether or not she deserved death... we all deserve it and will all suffer it.

Death is the great equalizer.

BUT, she still deserves a lot of criticism for what she did when alive... and that doesn't change just cos she passed away.

She has deprived millions of South Africans of one of the most basic human rights - communication. That makes her worthy of sever criticism in my book.

she was not a servant of the people, she was just another greedy ANC grafter.

Good Riddance.

While I send my condolences to her family and friends, I am glad the woman is dead and can not enjoy in retirement the fruits of her betrayal.

Her ministerial legacy is one of incompetence.

Like it said I don't get it either :p

Maybe dying before their 'time'.....

Condolences to the family.

The replacement of her seat(by ant means) should be good from the country, I am very glad about this.

Bring ojn the cheap broadband and cellular providors

Now she knows what it feels like to be hard capped.... living on "relaxed capping" able to go any minute.

Maybe she will think twice about regulations if she could come again.

- I think this may be the first death that I really dont actually care about.
