Ivy to leave soon?

I think Ivy is one person where the saying "better the devil you know" doesn't really apply. When you're already at the bottom of most semi-developed world lists for connectivity/bandwidth pricing/etc, I think most would take their chances with another roll of the dice.

I certainly wouldn't mind another roll of the dice. I think we honestly got the worst of the worst in her. She did what the a-holes who have political interests in telecoms told her to do, and had too little brains to realize that it was wrong of her to do so and far too little common sense to enable her to stand up. She was and still is an absolute disgrace to any human being who believes in government for the good of the people. She is worse than the worst kind of greedy sons of &%^$# you can think of that exploited people for their own gain.

Ivy threw the very people she was supposed to look out for to the dogs. She is worse than some of our planets worst historic figures in my view in that she is subtly evil! Some of the worlds worst people were overtly evil! The people who are subtly evil are the true snakes!

I cannot express how much I loathe her terms in office! The Lord only knows we need to get rid of her and her ilk!

... also very true!

Now she can retire and collect her long over due pension
as the dear old girl is 72+ and spend time with her grand kids
Man this is good news, I am sure the new person cannot be
as bad as she is

What if the Devil Returns

I just hope she doesn't join this new party.

what if she joins the new party and the new party wins at least 25% of the vote. They may be able to appoint a few ministers and BAM she gets comms ministers post again ?

Just a thought !

2. Telkom crashes and burns.

Come on, we all know that's not a good thing. Telkom are still sitting on a pile of cash, if they invest it in infrastructure that's fine by me.

The problem is that Telkom thinks the real money comes through a direct relationship with the customer. Most companies think that consumers can be exploited. For example, people who pay a premium for 3G over ADSL. Higher latency, higher equipment prices and the fact that its cheaper to roll out towers than copper cabling. Yet 3G is more expensive?!?!?!

Its clear that we can be exploited for many years to come. So, I doubt that Telkom is going to stick to just being a back haul provider for now.

It might surprise you to discover that the vast majority of those base-stations are connected to their respective core networks using copper - rented from Telkodemonopolies, it's called Digicrap and Telkodemonopolies charges more than a few arms and legs for its Digicrap links...

I bet your nickname in school was "Sunshine" :D

If the following conditions are met :

1. Neotel announces an Ethernet device which allows simultaneous telephone calls and Internet usage.
2. Telkom crashes and burns.
3. Vodacom Bandwidth prices drop.
4. Did I mentioned Telkom crashing and burning?
5. MTN bandwidth prices also drop.
6. CellC jumping on the bandwagon also with lower bandwidth prices and some crazy deals to lure more customers.
7. Telkom's crashing and burning makes worldwide news.
8. Hell freezing over.
9. Santa Claus decided to start working early for a change instead of handing out coal to the MyBB posters :D

1+ hehehe :D

It is understood that Shope-Mafole was unhappy about ANC president Jacob Zuma’s leadership and took a dim view of his attitude to women which emerged during his rape trial....

But she felt just fine when she helped ol Ivy and Telkom rape the country...;)
