It might not be the best ball BUT it is the same for every team. If you are a International player you should be able to adjust to the circumstances. Some teams have no excuse for their poor play, they were just not the best team on the day. Can't blame the ball - get on with the game !

i totally agree, teams will look to blame anything but themselves for playing badly and yet they forget that the same ball is used by both teams for the full 90mins, Japan had no problem scoring long range free kicks last night, neither did Portugal have issues putting 7 past an albeit poor N.Korea team, I dont think Slovakia gained any advantage over Italy because of the Jabu ball...

Footballers are the biggest girls on the planet. THey moan about everything, last WC they complained that the ball was causing Goalies problems. Just play the game.

My exact sentiments. These overpaid prima donnas should just learn to bloody play the game they get paid a fortune to play! I was under the impression that before this world cup the goalies were again moaning about the ball swerving and dipping etc. I am starting to think they really do not know what they are talking about!
If this world cup has done one thing it has probably turned me off football a little more... whingers, bad actors, rude to refs... not my game but I'll continue to enjoy this world cup on our door step.
Not to mention blind refs. Both games with USA had huge ref problems, mostly in the match against Slovenia. Could easily have cost USA the chance of qualifying. That Mali ref was beyond bad...

How so pooky? Do you have any idea how much training these guys put in. How much effort they actually put to entertain people? Do you find it immoral that hollywood actors get paid millions as well?
I find it immoral that Fifa allow cheating, money makes no difference in my life but i want to see football not who can con the ref the most.

Players should get used to the ball.
Has anyone else noticed that the ball seems to bounce more th previous balls which makes the high ball a little more difficult to control or am I just imagining it?

No dude it is the pitch that makes the ball bounce, you noticed how many shots go high and wide? That is something you see every week in the absa premier league and granted our players are not the same quality as many of the big stars but even the big stars are struggling to keep the ball down.

The ball acts differently at altitude and at sea level.
The pitches are drier than they are in Europe (generally - this was touched upon by the superspot people prior to the WC)
Etc etc.
However, they are professionals and are immensely skilled individuals so they should be able to overcome these obstacles. Nuff sed.

Gary Lineker has said it TWICE already.... they have had over 6 months of training with Jabulani.YES the ball may be different bla bla bla but as a professional footballer you need to adapt and change! Don't blame the ball for goodness sake. Look at Italy and England.theyve just played absolute [email protected] has nothing to do with the ball but the actual players passing it...

Isn't the point of all this noise about the ball an attempt to get them to not use the same smooth ball for the next tournament?
I prefer the hexxed one as well, it can be spun to greater curving effect.
Calling them girls because of their preferred choice of ball is silly.

And I think you have missed the actual point of all this noise! It is to have their excuses lined up for when they fail! (Funny how Portugal changed their whinging ways after winning 7-0... )

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better. If the ball is so bad how was it possible to score all those goals. A poor craftsman blames his tools.
Dont tell anyone, but they arent actually in agony. Its all just to fool the ref........ really

LOL. I've seen a few, *ahem*, punch ups now and then on a pitch. You know the ones with arms flailing above heads, not making any contact, crying and screaming, kind of thing. We used to call them cat fights, but I have a cat and it can fight better then those p*ssy's.
