i have a 3g 16gb jailbroken, wifi etc working but still no service?
cydias installed but does not ope
any help?

I have an iphone 3gs , carrier locked. Its currently on 3.1.3 and jailbroken with blackrain. I want to udate it to os 4.01 and then jailbreak using the new jailbreakme.com site via safari. If i understan right i have to update via itunes,but as far as the activation goes? how would i bypass this? or does itunes only ask for activation if i restore? once the software is activated i can go to the wi-fi and the jailbreak,then use ultrasnow to unlock, right ?

if your iphone has already been activated then you can go ahead and update through itunes, it won't ask you to activate again
