jailbroken iphone4 or HTC Desire, Galaxy S... most powerful

What do you guys think is the most powerful (feature packed, techie etc) smartphone out of a JAILBROKEN Iphone 4, Desire or Galaxy S?

I've just jbroken one and it flippen rules! should have done it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago!

you just can't get any better than 53.5 Billion different apps.

iPhone 4? or 3GS? Did you import one, or what?
 
Galaxy S would be my pick. I have one so I'm biased, but I wouldn't swap it for any other phone yet. It's the only phone besides the iPhone 4 that has a Gyroscope, fun fact I discovered yesterday which Samsung doesn't seem to advertise.

Would also be mine... and I don't have one (yet). So my opinion is completely objective and valid! :D

The phone is twice as fast the speed of the Nexus One in GPU performance. The phone is getting good reviews and when the official FroYo update(or custom ROMs) hits it it's pretty much going to be a clear 1st place winner.

lol no, I wouldn't import as I don't like locked devices and to tell you the truth i'm a little concerned about the iPhone 4's signal issue

Don't know much about the HTC Desire, but I've seen 2 HTC Devices and they were k@k slow - so unless this one is totally different, I wouldn't get it. but there's a lot of hype around it so it can't be bad I Guess




@theOP - get an iPhone4 if you're not too worried about the signal issue, wait for them to fix it, or get a Huge-ass 3GS version and jailbreak straight away.

Haha. This phone doesn't suffer from the usual Samsung problems though :)
It's their only phone I'd recommend. Even the battery life is good, which is apparently very unusual for them.

I'm an Apple hater, but I still think the iPhone antenna problem is exaggerated. Completely fixed with a bumper/case which Apple should be giving out for free now.
I still wouldn't touch it though.

I was actually planning to wait in order to be able to choose between the Galaxy S and the Desire, but when the HTC dropped I just couldn't muster any self-control, so Desire it was. Looking back I'm glad as I do prefer the Desire's look & feel to the that of the Samsung. The Desire's takeup in Europe has also been massive which means it's well represented at XDA Developers. In performance terms there shouldn't be much to choose between the two; 1GHz ARM processor vs. 1GHz Snapdragon... Longevity, something we cannot yet judge, will be the key factor in a race between these two. That being said I think anyone looking for a phone at present can do a lot worse than plumping for either.
 
I have a desire....it is superfast! Then I rooted, and the benchmarks indicate speeds 5 times faster! Then I cut out HTC sense, and it is instant. It can run flash content that iPhone cant. Its screen has a contrast ratio that iPhone cant. Iphone rules with the resolution and screen though in other respects. Also, I am sure the reception issues will be irrelevant as they will coat the enclosure before SA sees it. I hate iPhones, but they are suited to a certain type of user. If you want things to work, get an iPhone. If you want things to work how you want them to work, get an Android device. Dont ever consider a Windows Mobile device for now...it has kept htc back.
 
Im upgrading in less than a month and I am faced with the same issue.

I have read allot of reviews on the different devices and my favorite at this stage is the Galaxy. It looks awesome has a custom built 1ghz arm processor, with great gpu capabilities and has android which appears to be much more "open" than apple. I have read some weird stuff about the iPhone 4 regarding wifi and overall reception. The desire was my pick up until the galaxy landed. I have been using a desire for a while now "borrowed phone" and it feels and looks a bit cheap imo. Think the plastic and finishing is the issue. As mentioned the galaxy's tweaked processor whips the desire's stock arm.

The super AMOLED in the galaxy is also something to behold. The 4-inch, 480x800 pixel screen looks awesome and is 20% less power hungry and much more brighter than the desire's normal amoled. The iPhone has some gimmicky Retina display at 640x960 pixels and measures 3.5 inches it also looks great, to be fair I think it is a matter of opinion in this category.

For me this is a two horse race between the galaxy s and the iPhone4, I was a big desire fan but the features don't lie. I will probably be getting a Galaxy s. :)

If we are talking pure Processing power - show me a phone that can run Street Fighter IV. then i'll be convinced of these samungs and htcs

I didn't slate the Galaxy S at all, mate... I just stated that I prefer the look & feel of the Desire. In real-world use, i.e. not running epenis-enlarging benchmarks, I don't think there'll be much to choose between the two. As long as this one will outlast your average Samsung phone, I'm sure people will be perfectly happy with it.
