Actually I am still full behind PdV. The title is just for the shock value.

The man won the Tri-Nations last season. And has been fairly successful

if the above is correct that puts him at 59.46% after today's result.

Jake White had an overall 22/37 (59.46%) record.

All I am trying to say is that we should not romanticise the past. And not forget Jake White himself had a pretty shocking 3N prior to the WC.

I predict we will win the WC, we needed this thrashing ti nations to rethink abit about selection and combinations, the All Blacks are peaking at the wrong time and we also nearly beat them in some games.

The All Blacks are overdue for a cup title. Last taste of success was in 1987 if I remember correctly.

However, I think that the Boks will rise to the occasion. Nothing like a bit of a wake up call to get them focused.

You guys keep forgetting that Jake White built his team from scratch. He never got a World Cup winning team on a silver platter. He took u/21 kids and made them world superstars.

PdV on the other hand got a World Cup winning team on a silver platter and he has fk'd that up. Pls try and explain to me how you can turn around now and say JW was just another PdV or worse?

You guys clearly don't have the faintest idea of what the Boks looked like when JW took over. Take that vs what PdV got and then you will have a fair comparison. Also as for the World cup being easy...... The top 16 countries in the world plays in the World cup. There is no easy route. I can however already see the PdV fan club setting them up for an excuse when the Boks lose next year by saying "we had a tough group"

If you want to be the world Champions you need to beat any of the 16 teams on any given day. Currently SA won't even beat Samoa, Fiji or Argentina.

Seriously, unless you can honestly stand there and say JW had the same silver platter PdV has you have no business running JW down or even put him in the same sentence as the worthless piece of shyt coach we have now.
