Hey guys,

I need to find a couple of training courses for JavaScript around the Johannesburg area.

Whilst I do realise it is better to learn by doing and I agree, We need to upskill two people on Javascripting and as such am looking at 5 day course options for 'intro to js' style courses (If it includes JQ it is a bonus, but not needed).

The more practical and hands on the training the better.

I know a lot of you guys have done java and such - can you recommend any specific courses? I can find many options online, but it helps having recommendations from people that were on training with companies - who would you recommend and who should I avoid like the plague?

TL;DR
So - 3 to 5 day length training, Gauteng area. Recomment me a place.

Just a warning, there's a big difference between Java and Javascript. I see you mention Javascript at the top and then later Java. Please make sure you don't sign them up for Java courses when you actually mean Javascript.

Besides that, sorry I don't know of any courses.

Why don't you use online training? I highly recommend pluralsight.com, and they have some javascript courses. http://www.pluralsight.com/search/?searchTerm=javascript
 
@Solitude - apologies, meant Javascript, not Java.

Online courses will be utilised as needed, but unfortunately we can't motivate to go for proper training instead of being at a client and billable with those. I am looking for a dedicated 5 days, off site training course to ensure focus is maintained on the work.


(We have a strange working setup, outside of my control).
