JHB-CT link down

Hi guys

A link between JHB and CT is down, which is causing MyADSL to be much slower than usual.

POINTS OF IMPACT:
Great Westerford - Cape Town
Gallo Manor - Johannesburg

SCHEDULED TIME: 3 Feb 2006 10:06:20 AM CAUSE OF PROBLEM: Circuit Down
SYMPTOMS EXPERIENCED: Loss of connectivity
SEVERITY: Critical
STATUS: Attending
ATTENDING: Telkom Engineers
ADDITIONAL: One of our links from Cape Town to Johannesburg is
currently down. Telkom Engineers are currently attending

man this country(telkom) is useless, we have such slow internet connections compared to other countries, which is more down that actually up...

Come on People in Charge... do something about this!


China and others use, whats the speed now I think 22MB lines? where we cant even get our Super Fast 1024K (Telkoms rebranding of the 512K in the hope to please consumers) lines to work!

Better to be peed off than to be peed on, but somehow Telkom manages to do both in one blow
ADSL link down to most international sites now. Johannesburg area, 512, yadda yadda yadda... let it SNO let it SNO
