Jk8 vs Dolby

With any car the more you drive the more you learn things like how fast it can corner, strong points weak points, burn the clutch a little for maximum power of the line, things like that. If you take of with 1- 3000rpm you not going anywhere till the turbo kicks in... simple things. Keep the revs over 2500rpm when changing gears, especially 1st to second.

Ah! THERE'S the trick ... now we can all have roughly identical performance cars with JK8s advice!

JK8 - now I'm really confused :/

An S2000 took me rather easily - and yet you say you'd have no issue with those at all? Yet an A3 2.0T S Line couldn't pass me last night and started dropping back slowly at 120km/h?

At the same time you beat (marginally) a C30 T5? On average then - I can guess you're GTI5, A3 2.0T and C30 T5 league ... but (although all of those are slower than an S2000) you're alot quicker than a S2000?

I'm so lost :(

whats the power-to-weight ratio of the S2000? was it standard kit?

He said it was standard ... no idea about the power to weight.

In mt defense, it was the 1st night I had the car and couldn't launch nor change gears that well yet. However, even I had, I still reckon he'd be in front but a smaller margin. Whereas this A3 2.0T had no chance of getting ahead ...

I think as standard it's 177KW (coastal) and 1250KG - and rear wheel drive. So up here 145KW RWD vs my 165KW FWD (1450KG)?

EDIT : I know a turbo does drop a few percent at the reef, so tool off a few KW

This has just got way bigger...now its a 3 car race...
JK8's Polow (general fast car slayer)
Dolby's new Valva C30 T5 (turbo powa)

and it he accepts...
XrapidX's Honda S2000 (when the head kicks in yo!)

JK8...really now dude, are you in or out? You all live in the same vacinity...Dolby has already made sure the tyres are correctly inflated, the turbo is hissing nicely and he even tested it agianst an Awwdi...he's ready are you?

hahaha. JK8? he says he is fast but doesn't want to prove it to us...

The S2000 is donkey slow at the reef. How does it do against a 350Z?

What do you define as donkey slow ... ?

You get different kinds of Donkey slows...lemme explain

turtle vs slug

rabbit vs jackals

M3 vs Opel TS

Alfa GTA vs BMW 320i

KoenigSegg vs Toyota yaris T1...

which "Donkey" are you reffering too?

That's why I asked him, Alfa ;)

His donkey slow could be 7 seconds - which to me, is a decent time ... but compared to coastal performance, it may be donkey slow.

0-100 in over 8 seconds is donkey slow.

I doubt a standard S2000 at reef is over 8 seconds. The old Civic Vtec (118KW) was just over 9 seconds up here, IIRC. Makes no sense that there is only 1 second difference with a 50% power increase.

On top of that, I've raced both a A3 2.0T and an S2000.

I'd guess 7-7.5 seconds stock - which is up there with a GTI or A3 2.0T

... and another A3 2.0T (with remapping) to my list :/

Dolby I doubt the S2000 clears 100kph in under 8 seconds at the reef. I raced 2 of them when I had my Mk5 GTI eating FRC 110Kw Mk4 GTI. That car was quick off the line and the S2000 only caught up at +/-160kph. BWA GTI's caught me at just over 120kph.
