If you do not follow maintenance procedures chances are, especially on a Picanto, things are going to go wrong.
If you bought the car for 40k, then trading it for 25 is spot on - NOBODY gets their money back on cars, and on a cheapie, the chances are even less.
As I said before, if you have been offered 25 k - take it and run - totally pointless trying to add a/c etc as that is simply p i ssing more money into the wind.
