Jooste sacked as Steinhoff CEO

My take is that he is being targeted by "colonialists" like he was in 2012.

An SA billionaire says he should not have been treated with suspicion for trying to board a plane with nearly £700 000 (R9.2 million) in cash – because that amount of money is peanuts to him.

Customs officers seized £674 920 from Christo Wiese at London City Airport in 2009, and a judge later ordered that the money be forfeited as “the proceeds of criminal activity”.

They eventually had to give the money back to him.

Border Agency forced to hand back £700,000 seized from the luggage of billionaire who said the cash was 'peanuts' to him

I was just a bit of cash.

Wiese's daughter bought a house in Clifton for R90m last year. She refuses to say who paid for it. Obviously it's daddy. She owns a jewelry store and is married to an ex rugby player - no way she makes that kind of money.

To pay that for a house is sickening.

Lol wtf. Why is it sickening? Because your daddy isn't able to provide for you in the same way?

I hope none of you put any money in the last days, coz that stock keeps taking a beating.

If someone had put in money, it should obviously have been gamble, no problem if I loose it, money. So it should not be a big thing.

I wonder if it will hit R5 or lower?

Only managed to fund my EE account yesterday afternoon so I'll gamble a bit later today. If they half manage to save the company the price should easily double or triple from here.

A stupid gamble nonetheless. How do you buy when authorities say they're busy going through documents that continue to show overstated revenues and valuations?

Is there an easy way to buy some shares out of your personal capacity or do you need to go through a financial house to do so.
Just thinking of buying a few shares, I can just imagine they will bounce back as they have a lot of business that does make a lot of money.

Yes it might be a gamble but it will be one that I am willing to make
