They've obviously hit a bad patch, but this is a huge gamble. He had to be given more time. And who could they possibly replace him with at this time of the season?

Well Jose never really stays at a club too long (usually 2-3 seasons), makes them really solid, wins a lot of stuff in the next season or 2 and then stuff starts to unravel. Thats what he is good at.
