Need some help, if anyone with an idea or works in a WISP environment please do share your input. Much appreciated.

So What Happens if say for a moment someone builds a 5Ghz Ubiquiti network and through this network provide consumers access to the internet. What sort of licenses does that person need? Cause ICASA says the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz ranges are considered free ranges and do not need any sort of licensing and only need a license when you go out of those bands.

2nd part, say for instance you are allowed to build said infrastructure on those free bands do you need to still get an ECS license since you're basically using another service provider to provide a service over your free wifi network?

Input is most welcomed!

Hi HartsockZA,

To sell internet you need an ECS license.

To build infrastructure you need an ECNS license.

If you plan to use 2.4/5.8ghz you dont need any spectrum license to operate in those but you will the ECS+ECNS regardless.
