That's what makes this so bizarre - if I hadn't reacted I would have bailed into his back end. What would that achieve?
I've stopped trying to figure people out, I've been amazed by the lack of logic displayed too often.

Realistically, though, you should keep a 2-3 second (not meters) following distance.
This sounds fun! Those GoPRO HD cameras have dash mounts, but they''re a bit pricey for my liking. Still, a dash-mounted phone with other side camera recording could be the way to go.
The GoPro is not ideally suited for hi-way or town driving.
Rather look for something like the Smarty BX1500. Will record speed and GPS co-ordinates and you can overlay that on google maps![]()
Fighting fire with fire, nice.
So you can sit without a car for 3 weeks while its being repaired and then drive a repaired car ?
No thanks.
Maybe drive past and chuck a hand full of ball bearings out of the window.
There's also no shame in driving a car that has been in an accident. I bet you're the type of person that, when your car gets a dent, needs to buy a new one immediately because it's been in an accident..... logic. You have none.

Just acting as a devil's advocate here but hearing that you almost slammed into him, is there no chance you were too close in the first place. It is no excuse for behaviour like that at all people should keep the required distance
