who is your physical fibre provider? Openserv? Octotel?
I have had pretty much no issue on my 10mb uncapped Octotel/MWEB over the last 12 months

I've had no problems with Mweb Fibre. The last few months I've hit 4TB & no throttling & I don't really use torrents, so I haven't noticed any shaping either.
Thanks glad to see they seem like a decent ISP
I don't use them but I do believe that @ R1339 p/m they do probably have some sort of FUP which is not nice. I remember seeing on mybb that it's somewhere around 300gb or so. Not really sure but you might want to check that.

at least it was not openweb... but then its mweb
I believe the fup on a 100mb line is 1TB then after that it gets throttled down to 15mb
Well 1TB is not bad I guess but probably would have been better with something higher.
For comparison purely based on price.
Gigago no FUP. R1299
Cellc C Fibre no FUP. R1259
A360 no FUP. R1399
So there was 3 other ISP I know that don't have a FUP. The free installation on Mweb is irrelevant because there will probably be some sort of clawback like C Fibre and others.

They've removed the fup as far as I know. But I'm only on 20 so might not have hit anywhere near that yet.
Another member stated they have downloaded 4tb in a month and still no throttling so hopefully that’s the case

If it is the case then yes they are great. They have been pretty decent always when I used them the only issue usually with them is the throttling after using FUP but if that is no longer the case then you made the right decision.

I think there is only clawback if you exit the contract early.

Well what I can tell you is, anything local you won't have a problem with. Try to use international services, and you would be surprised how much you get shaped. They are basically open throughout the day but at peak times they shape international traffic to the point that you can't watch a 160p stream without it buffering . This is about from 6 to 11 at night. I was with them for about 6 years and never really used international services so I never noticed it. I went to my friends house since he has fiber to do a few tests and he has EXACTLY the same experience at the exact time I do. He also gets throttled after 1TB on his 100mbps line. Not only did we notices this but a MWEB agent confirmed it as well. Another gentleman also here on the forum has complained about this. They are a good ISP in general
