I have to date received 3 emails saying that I will be refunded. I phoned billing yesterday and they say that I was refunded on the 9th already. As of today it has not been done despite confirmation on your side. It does NOT take 5 days to clear. I even got another standard email today from MOshe.

Has anyone else actually received their 4mbit April refund (joined in March). Why does afrihost deem it fit to hold my money for 2 weeks, unless the reimbursement will be back dated but I really doubt it.
 
Gian asked you guys to be patient waiting for your refunds. They have a LOT going on with all the cancellations and complaints. Just give it some time.
 
I think 2 weeks (mmore for me actually as I PMed and emailed Gian) is more than enough.

Agreed, they easily steal your money the same day, but wait two weeks to refund? Yeah right ! Its nothing short of false advertising and theft, hence my complaint to ASA
 
I don't even want the refund, just really disappointed in the way they implemented their policies.

You agreed to pay them for a service that you anticipated you would receive?

Then you paid for it. They didn't steal anything. They may not have ended up giving you the service that you expected, but they did not steal from you. It doesn't really help anyone's case to bring unfounded, emotive terminology into the picture.

Well because they are 10 and 15gb accounts, once you 10 or 15gb you are back into the good ol dial up days but not to worry it is still uncapped :D. You may not know this because their website indicates nothing of the sort.

Bare in mind this 10gb and 15gb could become 2gb and 5gb at the rate they are dropping the fair usage it is possible.

Erm, you haven't been around much, have you? If you have a 4mbps line you get 30GB until "shaping" kicks in. On a 512kbps line it's 15GB and on a 384kbps line it's 10GB. Afrihost calls it "shaping," but by all accounts from those who have experienced it, your line is completely throttled. In essence, then, you're not getting uncapped; you're getting a 30GB, 15GB or 10GB account, depending on your line speed.

I never said it's okay to change TC. I said if you agreed to pay them it's not stealing. Stealing, by definition, would mean them taking your money against your will.

Are they giving you guys refunds ? I used mine until the 7th of April and canceled it and was told no refunds.

The Refunds were only for last month.
You had to PM Gian to cancel for April. before the 1st April

I hit the 30 gig mark this weekend and only when hitting the forums to see if others were having a slowdown did I hear about this 30 gig "limit". When I signed up in March it wasn't in the conditions. How can they change them without letting me know and then say "sorry, no refunds for April". Was there a "you must keep up to date with our policies via the mybroadband forums" in the terms and conditions?
 
I dont know if this will calm the masses, but I got a reply from Moshe saying that the refunds should happen by the 20th... I highly doubt the won't follow through with it.

No, although the refund offer was specific to MyBB users. Their TC were, however, updated on their website. At least for 4096 users. If you're a 384/512 user I'd press the issue because there STILL is nothing on their website about shaping those speeds.
