Agreed, I've emailed them twice, the first response was "An IS issue" and then second response was the copy and paste issue about using more than 30GB, I've used between 30 and 40, not over 60 and I am throttled to 1024kbp/s. I don't mind so much that their FUP is not what I'd prefer it to be, but what deeply annoys me is their lack of openness regarding the matter and the change from 60GB to 30GB throttling.
It also annoys me that, when I've challenged their generic response to my emails I've been ignored. They should email changes of the T&S and FUP to their clients and in addition it would be nice that, if there is a major issue with IS or their equipment that they should email their clients regarding current issues and workarounds. They could have avoided a lot of flack if they had done so.
I was very pleased with Afrihost's initial R29/GB package and their (up until now) friendly and prompt service, but now their "Have a lovely day" and smileys with generic copy and paste excuses and being ignored leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
However, I'll give them a little while longer, I can still surf and download at 1024kbp/s and if it does not improve or a proper answer is not given I will take my business elsewhere.
In a way, it almost seems as though Afrihost are ignoring what they feel are "power users" to get them to move over.
