Just signed up with openweb

Please let me know if your account has been activated.

Most accounts are instant when signing up with a credit card, however, our SAIX accounts, as well as our Uncapped accounts need manual activation.

Also, because it is so close to month end, we will send you an email asking whether you would like the account from the 1st, or until the end of the month.

btw....We will be launching a new set of Unshaped Beta packages early in 2009 which will be up to 40% cheaper than conventional Unshaped accounts. Watch this space :)

I received an email on the 26th Dec. asking when I would like the account to be activated, I replied the same day and asked for it to be activated from the 1st Jan, I have not heard anything else from them so I'm assuming (hoping) that it will be active from the 1st jan.
 
lol, I just signed up with openweb because I've had enough of cybersmart's crappy service.

I've been with CyberSmart for five months and haven't had any problems with them. Excellent support, excellent value for money. Don't know why you are bad-mouthing them
 
Been waiting 5 days for the details to put into my router, still waiting, looks like I'm not going to have internet from tomorrow.

Been waiting 24 hours after sending proof of payment. They get the money instantly because it's from ABSA to ABSA.
Openweb used to be great but their service is going down the drain :mad:
 
What is up with OpenWeb support? It's been one of those days where the password they sent me doesn't work. I've tried the support number but it keeps telling me "Number busy", and noone has responded to my emails yet. Am I going to have to wait till next week?

Edit: Just got a response from Support. It's working now.

I dont see why you have to phone after them if your account must be working in the first place...

It is important to remember that it takes up to 10 minutes for an assigned password to start working.

Our support line will be available today from 09:00 am until 17:00 pm.

Normal hours will resume on 5 January 2009.

Our new call centre system will be up and running on 10 January 2009, where we will launch more agents, with more lines, with more smiles :)

Hmmm, I have tried to contact support all morning via e-mail and then telephonically as well. No response on either one.

Every day I get emails like these. Yet I have not had ANY service since I paid in full on 27 december!
I've called like 20 times. You never answer.
I asked what I need to set in my router to get access and I get this useless 1 line reply 'I see that you have scheduled your account for 1 January.'. NO **** SHERLOCK.
I have entered the info as shown in an earlier post.

YOU PROVIDE NO SERVICE WHATSOEVER. YOU ARE RIPPING ME OFF I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
