I know, I was just as confused as i was at the start if not more. Freaking weird ****

BUT Totally Awesome

confused?

I thought it was the most awesome movie EVAR filmed in that style. The beginning was a bit like "wtf" but really was cool.

Especially that whole "jumping from one building to another" thing. I hate heights!

I also loved the movie. The theater I watched it in was completely silent after it ended, and the people just kind of sat there for 5 mins, not sure if they should leave or not. Most people that I know that saw it didn't like it, but I thought it was great.

Oh yea, when I went to watch it even the guy at the theatre said people were asking for their money back because they thought it was ****. I thought it was brilliant. Can imagine all the plebs going there expecting an alien movie :P

I thought it was decent...Could see there were many people in the cinema who didn't understand it. Yay for Web Viral marketing. :D

As a fan of rubber monster movies I was very dissapointed, I really would have liked to have known more background behind the monster and some sort of sanity in the filming, I will admit there were parts that were spectacular, but that was negated by the awful yuppie characters that were in it. Nope, gove me Godzilla anyday. I do expect we will soon be seeing Alien vs Cloverfield.

well. This was meant to be a film that would depict the true life scenario of when an alien would attack. They won't beam theo life history to us before attacking?! This coupled with a real nice story was great. The suspense of the looming doom and his love for this girl that knew no bounds. Awesome movie

I agree completely. But thats why i heard(or read rather) there was going to be another one?

I enjoyed it but couldn't watch after halfway due to my breakfast fighting its way up my throat. It was definitely not for motion sick individuals.About half the people in the cinema left during the movie. The shaking was just a bit much.

Actually, the shaking isn't as bad as The Blair Witch project or a tv show (which name I just forgot)

It's enough to convey the suspense but not as annoying as it would have been if overdone.

I agree with both of you. The "real life" reaction of the people was refreshing but without a "movie plot" scenario it just seems crazy and unstructured.

The modern intellectual movie-rat wants to see the whole deal.

I think it was very well done ... it was different .... and showed it from the human perspective ...but unlike the other movies .... managed to portray the emotions of the characters and the moment by using a reality type show of filming .... it was almost like u were there going thru this with them .. really kewl !!! :D

Yes ... true ... but don't you people think that this "first person POV" alone is just not enough?

It was refreshing like I said before but I want to see the WHOLE picture.

This is not open for debate. I want you all to agree with me. Or at least act like you do. :D :p

Did you guys see the monster land in the ocean? Its in the scene where they sitting on the ferris wheel, top right of the screen something flies from space into the ocean.

Freaky cool

I believe that was a Japanese satellite and possible cause of waking the monster. But I could be wrong.

The movie wasn't bad but wasn't fantastic either. The camera movement could get annoying but was no where near as annoying as the character who was doing the filming/narrating. I actually cheered when he got eaten.
