The way I see it, if they fulfill part of an order you bought using a discount voucher, but cancel one of the items, they're obligated to credit you the full amount for that item, and not just a portion of the amount.
Example: you order 5 items for R350 and you use a R75 voucher.
Item 1: R74
Item 2: R78
Item 3: R85
Item 4: R62
Item 5: R51
The order total is R350, but you get it for R275 due to the promo voucher.
You pay for the order, but a couple of days later, Kalahari informs you that your order will be delayed.
A few days after that, Kalahari decides to send you four of the five items you ordered as they're having trouble sourcing item 3 which was holding up the order. When you receive your items, you promptly rip open the packaging and/or gift the items to a friend.
After a week of waiting for item 3, Kalahari sends you an email to say item 3 has been cancelled due to lack of stock. Item 3 cost R85, but for some reason, Kalahari only issues you with a R10 credit. Why? Because their system has voided the R75 voucher you used.
The problem is, were it not for the R75 discount, you would never have placed the order to begin with, and you can no longer return the 4 items that Kalahari originally sent you.
Because the order was partially filled, but couldn't be completed, I would think Kalahari is obligated to credit you with R85 even if it's in the form of a voucher.
I won this argument when this happened:
