Update on this....

Finally had time to call and take this up with Kalahari. They credited my kalahari profile with R100.

Wasn't a fight or lots of phone calls, just one call and the lady was sharp. 24 hours later as she promised, it would be resolved, it was.

So they have redeemed themselves to an extent.
 
What was her name? Karla Hari??
Good for you for getting it sorted, but I've promised myself to not shop there due to all the little problems they have. Once they sort that out, I'll try again.

As bad karma-hari goes, ordered the Nexus 7 for R1999 and it is DOA. They will only send a replacement in 14 days...

Did u return it yet?
Try holding down the power button for 30 seconds.... (might be longer, been a while)
had to do the same on mine when I got it a while back

Still have it. Tried that too but it's not going on. The screen definitely goes on but no OS. Screen goes dead as soon as I unplug power.

Wish I had found this thread before creating an account and placing an order last night... Not sure I would have gone through with it after reading some of these stories

It gives this error if you have already redeemed it once on that account.
Create a new account and it would work (once) there.

Don't be discouraged. Most of the time they are very good. The problem is that you can get good service 9 out of 10 times but it's the one time that you don't that sticks with you. For me I'm willing to put up with that because of the good savings I get and the products I wouldn't be able to easily find in a store.

With Kalahari, good service 5 times out of 10 would be a stretch for them. I'm still waiting for them to get back to me as promised regarding a screw up of theirs.
 
ive connected them twice ever and both times they've never gotten back to me. My orders have always come on time though, but their warranty policy sucks as they simply refused to pay for delivery of the replacement good, making me pay for delivery twice. The worst thing is every time I'm about to order a few things from them, right before I place my order and use a discount voucher, i look up the same things on takealot and find takealot cheaper than kalahari, discount voucher and all. So the point is why wait for a voucher from kalahari when takealot's normal prices are kalahari's discounted prices. yes there will always be goods where they're competitive, but for the stuff I've ordered, takealot's been the boss.
 
I want to order three items; Sandisk Cruzer Fit 32GB, 2300MAh AA Batteries and a Capdase Pico Duo USB car charger... but here is my issue, Kalahari says that stock depends on the supplier but Takealot says all items are in stock. Does Takealot keep it all in stock and Kalahari picks up from their suppliers?
Whats the deal? I don't really want to order from Kalahari and have to wait a week or get told there is no stock, then the discount codes are not even worth my time.

With the voucher codes and my eBucks with Kalahari I can spend R150 and get R350 worth of stuff, the alternative is to spend my R100 worth of ebucks at Takealot and spend R250 in cash.

EDIT: Actually ignore this post, just checked and for the same items I pay R100 less with Takealot, basically I need Kalahari's voucher to match Takealots price.

I've noticed this as well.. They have more vouchers but they much more expensive than takealot..
