Well I hope the service will be good this time. I ordered a cricket bat (GM Purist SH) from them Thursday evening, package was delivered yesterday and after opening the package Iv found they have sent me the wrong bat (GM Epic SH)
 
Was going to buy a Nuvi 2497 lmt GPS but then I read all the bad comments on facebook about the failed deliveries.

I had exactly the same. Mine was also DOA. I wonder if they are selling a bad batch. Worried about getting a new DOA. Returned mine on 19/07 and only heard today that they will credit me which will take a few days more.

Paid in R19 from cheque card
= R2744 food processor - wanted this specific one, was gonna buy it from Makro...but they don't have it listed anymore.

Oh and earn ebucks on that purchase as well.
 
You should have used the deal100 voucher to get R100 off and get it for FREE>

I am sure they did have it. But Makro has this wierd thing, that certain items are only available for half of the year, and the other half they just don't stock it. Still waiting on them to get ceiling fans in stock again for the next summer season.

Crap! I ordered mine on Tuesday and received it today and it was also DOA!

I left it plugged into the wall charger for a bit, I could see the backlight was on but the screen was blank - I plugged it out and held down the power button for a good minute. The backlight eventually went dead, so I plugged it back in and the charging symbol appeared on the screen (and it is still charging as I type).

So it could be that they just have very pap batteries and need to be charged a certain % to power on properly?

Or you could have got it from Hirsch's for R2609.99, then used the 10% voucher they are giving (V7V2W47) making the total R2348.99, then paid for that with a Hirsch's giftcard at 40% off from Ebucks.

So far so good, busy installing updates (it shipped with 4.1 and I am busy with installing 4.4.2 at the moment)

interested to see what the update does to it in terms of performance, i.e if it makes it worse etc

Glad you got sorted! @D3x! mine is now 4.4.4 and running merrily - can't comment on the speed though as I only had the version it shipped with for about 10 minutes, but 4.4.4 is so far very good and nippy.

I have a moto G with 4.4.4 as well and I have no complaints other than my navigation buttons sometimes disappearing when I close Clash of Clans on it :p
