Kalahari.com vouchers thread

Note to all.. take screenshots during checkout process!!!

We learn from trial and error! Let this be a lesson to anybody ordering online.

Somebody I know ordered an item from one of the e-commerce stores the description showed differently which was a saving of R8000, he disputed it with them and they honoured it.

Even though when I did process to checkout using EFT method stock was available and today only 1 ITEM is ready to be shipped which is a clear indication only 1 item was available! They probably modified their terms and condition on sales cos many would select EFT and not make payment which means stock sits in their warehouse! I will see how long it takes them to prepare my parcel... I only read the terms and condition late. I didn't want my credit card to be charged twice in some occurrences it can happen..

I disagree with your assumption that because only one item shows ready to be shipped the other items are not available. Out of experience items can sit at 'in progress' for an array of other more plausable reasons. The other items might still be at another warehouse and must first be moved before it can be dispatched. In the past they liked to consoludate all the items in a single order box before shipping. This time around they are super busy and it will take them some time to process all orders, and with shipping being free, they have with my latest orders been splitting up the orders in seemingly smaller parcels and have been shipping them out asap. Just wait it out and see what happens.

Need to invest in an automatic screenshot taker that only activates when on these ecommerce sites.

Edit:
Oops, forgot to mention ... I did not read the terms and conditions of the email as I never got the email to begin with. They are thus allowed to cancel at least one of my orders. All the rest were ordered and paid for before midnight. Although I do not see them doing that. The intention of the term was probably to protect themselves against someone that would order 238946234 stuff and then only selectively pay for it over the course of two weeks or whatnot. They clearly want to clear out their stock and behaviour like this would hinder their goals.

My order arrived this morning, ordered yesterday before lunch

I ordered the night before, still waiting sigh

Estimated delivery date: 24 December 2014

Bad sign. Although not damning as of yet. The dreaded "Oops! Unfortunately we’re not going to be able to deliver to you" / "Unfortunately we're struggling to source some of your products" / "Your ordered item is unfortunately out of stock" email is the one to watch out for.

Sorry to contribute to the thread derail, but what status do goods get when you are waiting for them to source the products and ship? My 2 books are "in progress" and a delivery ETA of 17/12. That normal?

The normal progession of order statuses:
Awaiting Payment
On Hold
In progress
Cancelled
Ready to ship
Parcel shipped
Completed

Your order can skip steps and can climb up and down the ladder. In progress is where you are at and the place where it will linger the longest while they source the goods.

in progress can mean many things.[inter branch transfer - warehouse from Cape to Johannesburg], waiting for stock from supplier. ETC. . You will receive an email in the event "Unfortunately we're struggling to source some of your products...

Purchased for R714, used wish100 voucher, paid R614 by cc,then decided to cancel item to the value of R312. Total value of invoice now is R402 even though it states voucher applied R100.
Just an update:
After calling them, I got a full credit, so only paying R302 :)

OK, so get this. I ordered 3 items, it amounted to less than R350 so I bought a R22 Cars cup for my toddler.

I receive the package 2 days ago...and only checked tonight.

Everything is there, but no friggin cup!!! Instead an Xbox 360 game called Dishonoured worth R399 . What to do?
