My bad, Kawuleza is actually R879 pm , so it's actually a little cheaper :)
 
hmm.. seems like they have their own backbone arrangement - well, I don't see any similarities to any of the ADSL ISP's

They do seem to have their own network, using IS for local transit at least, and then peering with whoever is open to peering.

You should also ask for a traceroute to bbc.co.uk and something over linx, and then a traceroute to www.mweb.co.za.
 
Would this be ok for gaming? I mainly play on local servers but I do dabble in SC2 and Doto2 europe servers
 
I play a bit of Uncharted 3, Killzone 3, and AC Brotherhood online, and it never lags, unless someone in the household is downloading torrents or buffering video. Had the 4Mbps trial, and that never lagged even with downloads running

Just wanted to know if Unotelly will work with wireless internet from Kawuleza. I am currently on Iburst and Unotelly does not work with their wireless internet.

I also doubt it will work with Kawuleza.

Is there any way I can test it for you without paying for anything?

On the plus side, my connection has been rock solid

Download Speed: 3364 kbps (420.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 3512 kbps (439 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 34 ms

Thank you for your troubles. This is a bit of a problem as I intend using them for streaming netflix on my roku.

I will try kawuleza support maybe they can help as support from unotelly once said your isp could be blocking their services but if you ask them to "open up" something it can be done.

Can someone give me the name of a router that I can use with Kawuleza. According to them you cannot use a normal ADSL router???

You need a wireless router with WAN input. The cable from the dish is a CAT5 cable that plugs into a little devices and then outputs another CAT5 cable to the router ( or directly into your LAN port, if you only running 1 machine )

If your ADSL router supports the WAN input, then it should work. I had to buy a new router for my wireless needs.
 
So anyone managed to get Unotelly working on Kawuleza?

Nope ,nothing as yet. They(Natalie) told me the technician will get back to me today.

Just emailed her again so will let you know asap.

I am assuming because you bypass their DNS server?

On weekends I stream a LOT of VEVO music videos and I have not had any issues from them.
