Hi

I like the Original Rice Krispies and the Original Coco Pops (Not the new) - been eating them for years and years. My kids love them too. As of late, I have been having a hard time finding these two kinds of cereal in stores.

Does anyone know if Kellogs have killed them off - Discontinued? They don't seem to have them on their site either.

https://www.kelloggs.co.za/en_ZA/products/coco-pops-product.html - https://www.kelloggs.co.za/en_ZA/brands/rice-krispies.html

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

On the new boxes, it says "New and Improved." I don't see any improvement. I guess it's just another case of - if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Luckily, Cornflakes is still the same... O well... - Just really disappointed in this change.

I like the Corn Flakes, been eating it since childhood days. Strange u can't find those other kinds of Kelloggs though???

I used to love the no name brand of corn flakes, they tasted better to me than the normal one, wonder if they still make it.

I find that the Spar house brand of puff rice cereal is better than the snap crackle and pop one :-)

What? What have they done to it?

When were you last in the cereal section of any supermarket? For ages already Coco Pops has been a new nasty grain cereal.

It is borderline inedible and I struggle to understand how it sells. Even as a totally new cereal it sucks - there's a Bokomo level chocolate taste.

It was likely a move necessitated by potential health-related concerns i.e. Future lawsuits.

The new rice krispies is disgusting, contemplating to maybe import a few boxes.

There's a sweet shop next to Woolies in Waterkloof Lifestyle Centre that still sells bags of the original stuff..

Personally I haven't eaten plastic pap in years, the only exception is Pronutro & the occasional Wheetbix.

I hope you are not joking, if I tell the wife and she drive all the way there from the West Rand( That is how much she is after the original one) and nothing I will be sleeping on the welcome maaitjie for a few days.

Rice Krispies?!?!?

Puffs of air surrounded by a layer of starchy air.
Yes, I completely agree with you.
It cost a little more than your regular cereals, but it has a unique taste that cannot be easily emulated. These are my daughters' favorite cereal. So there is hardly much a guy can do...

If I had a daughter or a son I would introduce them at an early age to my epic oatmeal porridge cooked in lactose free milk with honey.

Nom-nom-nom … there are few things better.

And it's good for their bowels. There are just a few worse than having a child who regularly have a problem with going to the toilet.
