Hi all

I'm off to PTA again this weekend for Christmas and fk me that place is hot. I can't believe I only stay 50 minutes drive from there and the difference in heat is astounding

Anyway, wife had a very hard time sleeping there because of the heat. Her being prenant and all. So I'm looking to get a fan and the ones I buy always crap out in 2 or 3 months. I want a good decent fan.

I found these 2 online at Makro.

Now one is flat on the floor and another has a stand. I'm thinking the floor standing one is best but can the head be tilted if I put it on a shelf or something ? Or should I just get the second one ?

Stand fan - I prefer this one but I have had problems with these type of fans before.

Never bought a Kenwood though. So I don't know

I'd be worried about the noise at night? There is also no rotation, so the air is going one way only.

The big difference is the Floor Standing one moves much more air than the stand up one...

I'd take the floor standing one, never had a moments problems with them...

As for the stand fan, they are KRAPPY!!

If so I'll go get one this afternoon :)

yeah up and down...

Go to the store and tell them you want to test both (they have demo models)

And then you see which one you prefer...

Nea, if it can tilt up and down this is perfect :)

Thanx Peder, much appreciated :)

No seriously I grew up in PTA and now I live in Jo'Burg. I can't believe how bloody hot that place is. There is no way I played rugby in that place.

Strange how ones body adjusts to the place you live in hey. My dad was saying last night "WTF are you complaining about, it's not that hot"

My wife actually went and put her shirt in cold water, pressed out the water and came back to bed wearing it
