Does anyone know where I can buy one of these power cables for my tv? The standard one is a bit to short. I need one that's about 2.5m long

Thanks

thx bio.

Just re-wire one. Or use an extension. I don't think 2.5+ will be very easy to buy. You get extensions for them though...old CRTs used to those. male on one side female on the other.

get extensions. I buy the 3 in 1 kettle plugs. 3 outlets to 1 power. Works great, one plug for PC, monitor and printer. Home theatres too - Tv, receiver & gaming devie, makes cabling a bit tidier.

Try your local Matrix Warehouse

Most computer shops will stock them, also PnP, Checkers, Game, Makro, etc.

You could also just buy the "extension" cable that was previously used to connect the PC to the monitors..

Its actually incorrect to call it a "kettle plug" since that is a different shape. The high temperature version of the plug that is used on devices like kettles has a notch in the bottom and is officially called a C15.

The one you want is the C13.

I don't really want to get the connectors as I use the cable for my tv and I need to hide it inside cable conduit so it needs to be only one long wire.

How long can you make these cables. I need one that is about 25 metres. Can you buy them? I don't want to go through the hassle of rewiring my own.

I also assume that I want the C15. It is going to supply power to a ceiling mounted projector, so it's going to lie above the ceiling where it can become quite warm.
