Key Fob issue

Thanks for everyone's recommendations. @epah thanks for not driving a BMW and using your indicator.
 
Interference definitely plays a role in these RF systems. During the daytime, my key fob range is particularly short - maybe about 20 meters, whereas at night, in a vacant lot, it will unlock the car at 150m or more
