Key won't fit into ignition! Help!

My key does not fit into the ignition of my Opel Astra (2004 model).

I have tried the spare key as well.

It does not go in at all.

Did it used to fit?
If so is there damage to the ignition from perhaps an attemted theft?
Did you just buy the car?
If so, get the key from the old owner they may have given you the wrong key?
Were you out on the piss last night?

Turn the key the other way around.

Could be the grooves in your key, something in the ignition. if all else fails, you'll prob have to call the support services of the car manufacturer.
