KFC Masala crunch

Tried a streetwise 2 Masala the other day when the local KFC drive thru told me there was 15 minute wait for normal chicken.

I was rather dubious, but after reaching home and talking 1 bite I realised that is even better than the hot and spicy offer which ended recently much to my deep disappointment at the time.
Was my fav take away by miles bought it at least 2-3 times a week.. and v reasonably priced too.

KFC  .. clucking good since 19 voetsek

Just wolfed down a Masala Box. There is sugar in the spice mix. I could even see the sugar crystals. Chicken was quite orange and spiciness quite pronounced. I am concerned about possible heart burn later but we'll see.
Verdict: quite nice but I probably won't have it every time. It was strange that THAT kinda flavour was coming from KFC.

Tried it last night. Whilst very good texture and spicy flavour wise, I'll have to skip it due to aforementioned sugar.

Yummy ...bought another MC Streetwise 2 this arvie...
gobbled it down like a wolf and finished it off with ice cold glass of coke.

Burp!
It's as addictive as Crack Cocaine..well nearly...

Finally had the Masala Cruch box meal yesterday, it was crispy and not bad, though it could use some heat.

The masala spice they use is very similar to the Lays Sweet Chilli spice

yeah very sweet and spicy

but different branches taste different

i had it last week and was very spicy and then on saturday it was more sweeter

Use Rice flour with your normal batter with all deep frying endeavours.

Somewhat expensive but the crunch it gives is worth it.

cornstarch also works for extra lasting crunch.

question for the guys who did try it,

available as something else? like in the burgers or twisters?

not a fan of pieces of chicken with the bones.

First few bites was surprising but didn't like it too much, the meat tasted very weird for me, maybe I was just unlucky.

I don't know what I had over the weekend, but it's definitely not what you guys described.

It had no taste, and no spice, and I almost died from choking on the dryness. After that the normal greasy original recipe chicken was amazing. Maybe a bad batch?!
