KFC, please bring back the double crunch meal

They seem to be big on entering the peri peri market and their peri peri stuff tastes cheap. My favorite burger was the double crunch meal... and now I dont have a reason to go to KFC. I dont like their new products :(
 
+ 1 i went to KFC for the first time in a long time the other day, and had to settle for the col burger
 
Mine too. Why on earth did they scrap it? I'm guessing because the cheaper meals sell more.

U know, i actuallty like it since the Zinger stuff seems to be crispier, always when i got a Colonel Burger or such the things was often very oily and had some softer yucky skin bit underneath or some other taste ruining bit somewhere... the Zinger ones just seem better quality somehow.
 
I liked the 'famous bowl' - but they discontinued it. Now they have this other bowl thing that has yucky sweet sauce on the chicken - not nice!

I see in the US they have a famous bowl - why do we always have to be different to the rest of the world??
 
I used to love the Zinger chicken. I can't go back to the normal rubbish now that the Zinger is discontinued.
 
Dude...same here. My wife loved the tower meal every now and again with her preg cravings. She had a craving the one day...so off I go, looking forward to my double crunch meal. Find out they changed their menu completely. We havent been back to KFC since...they lost us as customers. Wonder how many other people have just stopped going?
 
I used to like that chicken strip thing in a roll with the gravy (can't remember what is was called) but alas also discontinued. You can make your own but doesn't really taste the same. Other than that, I hate KFC.

I queried about this the other day and they said the promotion is over... WTF's up with that? :confused: i left the store buying nothing :wtf:
 
Seems KFC take a step forward when bringing out promos and two steps back when taking them away as people start liking them.

I actually started to occasionally buy KFC when they brought in the Zinger chicken; it was drier and crispier than their usual chicken.

Ja, the double crunch was their better product. Not nearly as greasy as the other crap. The zinger just gives me the runs. Fortunately I very rarely eat kfc.
 
Shortly after reading this thread i happened to drive by KFC so decided to try the Zinger Inside Man meal.
R44 i think it was for:
A piece of chicken (was quite decent)
Small chips
Bowl of white "pap" and some brown sauce (Maybe where this meal got it's name from?)
..and the worst burger i've had in a very long time... as earlier forum posts said, a cheap but nasty burn taste which halfway through had me wondering if i should abort. Hungrily i managed to finish it off redfaced and mouth on fire but had to run to get a beer (good thing i brought it home) to wash it down.

Still hungry after almost R50 + a beer, this new KFC meal leaves me sad in the pant.
