KFC, please bring back the double crunch meal

The original double crunch burger had thinner chicken patties almost like the Crispy strips, but round obviously. It had the original KFC breadcrumbs, not zinger crap.

The sauce was a sweet chilli/BBQ hybrid type sauce. It also had mayo on it and 2 slices of cheese. It tasted WAY WAY better. I can't believe they are trying to pass this subpar junk off as the double crunch.

Pretty much what Gaz said. This isn't a patch on what it used to be. Doubt I'll buy it again, even if they put the original sauce back on.

I wish KFC would break the Salsa Pocket back.

It was something similar to the BoxMaster.

It had a Tortilla wrap(similar to boxmaster). Big chicken fillet , Slice of cheese and some greens (no tomato).
Then had this spicy almost pungent yet sweet salsa in the middle. (plenty of it).
The whole thing was then wrapped in a foil wrapping (to keep the heat in, but maybe this was just the packaging they used for this one at the time)

Only thing I found online that looked similar.. was this one :

Wish they would bring the KFC salsa Pocket back.

I had a Double Crunch tonight. Bearing in mind that many in this thread claimed the default sauce to be unpleasant, I requested the sauce to be replaced with zinger sauce and sweet chilli. The burger was nothing less than delicious. I remember the old Double Crunch being a bit bigger, but I suppose inflation and the devaluing Rand has made everything a bit smaller over the years anyway. The size was acceptable - I certainly didn't think it was a small burger.

I am curious though as to what the proper sauce tastes like... Maybe I'll get someone else to order it next time and then scoop some excess sauce onto a chip or something.

The default sauce isnt terrible but its no where near as nice as the sweet chilli. It is more spicey and its colour is off putting.

Brawler. The new Double Crunch sauce aint bad.

But the original one had a almost "chutney" flavor to it. (with more sweetness and almost bbq flavor. Yet had some kick. not much. Just nice)

The new one is more mayo'eee.
