I've heard about hacks that get Kinect working on windows 7 and that there is an official SDK released apparently but the future of kinect with windows is still not all that clear...

I love PC gaming and as tempted as I am do not own an XBox or PS3, now I am wondering about Kinect and which games will make use of them for the PC if any? Or will it be a dud?

I have a feeling the Kinect SDK and the Kinect setup on Windows won't be aimed squarely at the gaming market like the Kinect on the Xbox was...

I can see a myriad of uses for the Kinect if I can run it off of a normal PC.

I think media interaction and gaming will be it's main use on PC... for everyday use like email, documents no I don't think it so.

Early 2012 is when we should see it entering the PC market, I am keen to see if I can use it with media centre and which games will be updated to support it. It will essentially rule out the xbox for me if supported.

Without a doubt media is a big one... and gaming yes.. but I think MS will aim it at a market and be relatively agnostic about what it is for and leave that up to the 3rd parties who develop software that uses it..

I'm already seeing ways of interacting with it for my media centre and my house which are considerably more important than gaming in my opinion... and shoulld someone get clever enough, it could act in a way like a biometric type security setup as well.
