Kitchen tap loose

Renovations continue.

Had two of these fitted yesterday

Left the silicon etc on the basins to set overnight so I did not touch the area till this afternoon.

The one turn from sink to sink tap/spout not sure what its called is loose

Is this a screw it tighter thing (plumber) or a fault (tap)?

Just seems something a chick would ask. Like, why don't you just check if there is a screw/fastener loose, or if somethings broken?

I didnt install it... The instructions dont indicate there is anything to fasten to adjust this...

I legit dont know if these are a fasten it mechanism or a product fault.

ITS BRAND NEW there are two one is loose one isnt...
 
Why silicone if I may ask.

When I replaced my mixer for my island, I bought a tool set at the plumbing shop. Not difficult. And no leaks.

no the basins were siliconned not the taps - i didnt fit the taps bringing me back to my original question is this a loose screw as the thing is solidly placed its just that part thats loose on one not the other

Forward... just ask the bloke that installed it to come fix it, if he can't, he'll tell you if it's faulty.

Its also Saturday and I like to understand things a bit better hence the question.... product/plumber fault...

There is a brass stud which screws into the bottom of the tap, then a washer type thing and rubber washer in the same shape. This hold the tap against the marble/slate/countertop. This held with a small nut. The tool is quite cheap and makes it a easy job to tighten the nut. Other wise a spanner, but very awkward to tighten.

thats rock solid spout is loose
 
If the spout is loose there can be basically 3 problems. The problem is this new type of taps I don't know how their fittings/mechanism work and if its the same as the old.
On the old style one problem can be a missing washer/o-ring. There are normally 2. Second problem is it may not be pressed down/inserted deep enough. Third problen it may not be screwed in tight enough.
