The week between Christmas and New year. It consists of a Java app running on Android and a C# Mono program that is the server. My wife did most of the images.

But the app would bypass the park itself and an individual would upload locations. I'd think perhaps the rhino spotting should be removed, because although the poachers themselves are poor people from the villagers, the masterminds probably have Android and can direct them.

I have removed Rhino sightings. Kind of sad that one has to do this kind of thing.
 
Hyena? African wild cat? Wild dog? I'm always excited to see that too!

It is sad :(

Hopefully things will come under control this year - although the count seems to be 19 rhinos this year already.

Sorry, I did not have enough time to maintain the app properly, so rather than letting it limp along, I decided to withdraw it from the Google Play store.
 
I'm sure a high school kid from king davids made an app like this a few months ago? It was in the newspapers and had thousands of users. I think it was only for iphone though

Hi. There was / is. It's called Latest Sightings. It's good but "just" a Wordpress group / BBM group. No map or Android app. So we've gone and done that and added lots of other Kruger info etc. as well. Cheers.

Sadly :cry: , it is going to be a while before I visit the Kruger again, so I was hoping somebody that has an Android phone/tablet might see this, who is going there sometime in the next while. I would love some feedback if this actually works. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Should extend this to all parts of South Africa. Should work well for bird spotting.

Please do and let me know feedback. We're adding some birds to the next release (available in a couple of weeks). Plan to extend to Hluhluwe and Pilanesberg shortly. Thanks!

My dad has part ownership in a game farm, and last year lost two rhino's due to poaching, but here is the catch, the poachers flew in with an unmarked black helicopter, shot and de-horned before anyone could respond. Not some poor villagers. They are pro's
