Hello. Does anyone know what is going on with the Huawei Openserve people installing fiber in the Krugersdorp North area? They were at my house a few weeks ago ro install the line as I have 2 telkom poles on my property but thing is I still know absolutely nothing... On their coverage map it still says Krugersdorp has no fiber coverage but they are digging trenches and installing fiber on poles like crazy all around Krugersdorp North. I am really sick of my current insternet and just want to finalky have fiber. The line is at my house but it just is'nt connected yet. Where do I sign up for my fiber!?

You'll need to be a bit patient. If they installed their boxes on the poles it doesn't mean that you can order already. Also, the coverage map is slow to update and not maintained consistently. Someone from Telkom will most likely call you to inform that fibre is available / active in your area before you can start placing your order (and I'm not saying that it should be via Telkom ;) ). That's how it was with me back in 2015. I know you're eager to get connected, but it took nearly 2-2.5 months for it to become active after they did the pole installation at my parents' house back in the day.

Allright. It's just fairly frustration because there seems to be no interaction with potentian customers, no sales reps are going from home to home or nothing, but thats fine, aslong as I just get fiber I am happy, been struggling with unstable internet for far too long now and I am really excited to have fiber :)

Once the area goes live you will see sales people sitting at the entrances at the suburbs with their gazebos posters and flyers. When it went live in my area Telkom, Cellc, Supersonic, Vodacom, Vox and Mweb were all pushing leaflets in post boxes and camping weekends during the day with their gazebos to promote their products.
