Since Vumatel is currently busy in Brackenfell it just makes sense for them to move onto Kuilsrivier next after they are done, however they will only do it if there's enough interest.
What I did for 2 weeks just before we got approval was take a tablet each evening and knock on the doors and sign people up there and then. I'd ask them some basic info around their internet usage and then tell them about FTTH and then sign them up on the vuma site there and then with their info. Also made it clear that showing interest was not a commitment to have to take out a package once the area is enabled.
I probably got around 200 houses signed up during a 2 week period so it was really effective as a final push.
Awesome. Things seem to be finally picking up. I have some other related news.
A family member of mine works at Mikro Primary school and they have also been approached by Vumatel during the past week. Vuma wants to install free fibre for the school and gave an estimated date of July 2018.
This really seems to be a serious progression at the moment and you'll probably be seeing me by your doorsteps very soon![]()

Excellent .. in what area was this?
They might as well go asa far as Kraaifontein - Zonnendal to be exact, *cough*Brackenfell North, more specifically the Ferndale and Bracken Heights areas.
Vumatel is busy rolling out fibre in the whole Brackenfell North area, aiming to be done by end of Feb. Protea Height is also getting fibre, they have their townhall meeting on the 12th of December
Correct. The meeting was setup by myself
Mikro Primary is interested in becoming a POP for Vumatel
