Virginia Police Lt. William Kelly was fired for donating $25 to legal defense fund

The fundraiser for a Virginia police officer, who was fired for donating $25 to Kyle Rittenhouse's defense fund, has exploded with donations after Candace Ownes stepped in to help.

The campaign for Norfolk, Virginia, Police Lt. William Kelly raised more than $230,000 after Owens helped to promote the fundraiser.

Kelly was fired after a data leak showed he donated $25 to support teenager Kyle Rittenhouse.

In April, The Guardian leaked the names of cops and public officials who donated to a defense fund for Rittenhouse, costing Kelly his job.

Yeah, but it just shows you scummy these media companies and reporters are. This is what happens when journalists make news. And this is what journalism is now these days. I feel sorry for the kids who go to study this and come to face their real jobs. Those young adults must be so disillusioned, while facing piles of debt to boot.

IF it was a black cop who donated to the fund account of a BLM protester/rioter do you think he would have been fired. Yeah I think not.....

I agree 110%. That is why to protect yourself... never use work email etc to easily identify (like in this case). And I agree with scum the media companies etc are. No doubt.

In America they fire you for just looking funny one day. Reading Reddit taught me American is wack place with this type of stuff.
 
I just can't believe the audacity that the MSM in America has to blatantly lie about events and evidence that were already established in a court of law. Is America just totally falling apart now, no accountability at all? Feelings are the new facts, information is now misinformation. Everything turned upside down, how did they get themselves into this mess.

Used to look up to the USA, but now it looks like they are just another basket-case for others to study and take heed of.

The whole "He crossed state lines!" narrative is because when crimes are committed across state lines in the USA, it becomes a Federal matter. Whole lot of presumption of crimes being committed that led to the left parroting that line at every opportunity.
