Russian YouTuber Demolishes Lamborghini Urus With Giant Energy Drink Crane Drop

Remember when a Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S was drenched in fuel and burnt to a crisp or when a brand-new Porsche Taycan Turbo S smashed through the door of a dealership? Well if not, check those links to find out more but the same Russian YouTuber is back and this time the ‘victim’ is a Lamborghini Urus.

Mikhail Litvin’s YouTube channel LITVIN has ticked over 10 million followers and has also started his own energy drink brand LIT ENERGY.

So to create buzz and awareness around the new brand he decided to develop a 3-ton can of the drink and raise it 100m in the air. To continue his destruction of luxury cars he decides to put a white Lamborghini Urus right underneath the giant energy drink and well you know what happens next.

2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante: Faster, Meaner, But Still More German Than Italian

The Urus is great for what it is, and the new 657-hp Performante spec is even more extreme. But it still feels like an Audi product wearing Lambo badges.

All-electric Lamborghini Urus is on the way

Back in January, Lamborghini said the Urus wouldn't be available as an all-electric model. How quickly things change! Here we are just a few weeks later and - guess what? The company is now officially confirming that it will make an all-electric Urus. It will be released in 2029.

The news comes straight from the top - Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann. The next Urus generation, which will replace the current one, will be all-electric. This will arrive in 2029, one year after the brand will have released its first ever all-electric vehicle. The model due to be out in 2028 will be an entirely new one.

Lamborghini Urus Performante Essenza SCV12 Edition

Lamborghini introduced the Urus Performante Special Edition, dedicated to the Essenza SCV12 and reserved exclusively for owners of the track-only hypercar produced in just 40 units. The creation of the limited-edition Super SUV was overseen by Lamborghini's Ad Personam department, allowing each Essenza SCV12 customer to uniquely configure their own example of the Urus Performante, featuring a dedicated design and racing-inspired details for maximum sportiness.

The exclusive character of this Urus Special Edition is highlighted by the extensive use of exposed carbon fiber elements with a glossy or matte finish, echoing the treatment of the bodywork chosen by the customer: not only the carbon fiber engine hood and roof is in carbon fiber, but also the rocker covers, mirrors, and the carbon fiber frame with the Lamborghini logo set between the rear light clusters.

To underscore the vehicle's track-oriented aptitude, Lamborghini's Centro Stile designers created a dedicated Ad Personam livery with color combinations tailored to specific customer requests, with the paintwork of each unit undertaken in Lamborghini's in-house paint shop. Along with a two-tone color scheme, originating from the combination of all the carbon fiber elements that stand out on the body, the lower part of the car is black, embellished with a contrasting color line that is repeated on the roof arch, further highlighting the car's silhouette. The body colors and livery were chosen exclusively with each customer and echo those of their Essenza SCV12 cars, including the distinctive number painted on the doors. Each example is also equipped with 23" high gloss black wheels and black calipers by default, though customers can freely select the type and colors of wheels and calipers from those available.

Buyers of the most extreme Lambo ever can now get a matching least extreme Lambo ever

The 40 Essenza SCV12 track car buyers can now get a special Urus Performante in matching livery. Ugh

Internet, say hello to the Lamborghini Urus Essenza SCV12 Special Edition, and now feel free to go and mock it in the comments below.
Because yes, this is exactly what you think it is – an otherwise-standard Urus Performante painted in a livery to match the bonkers V12-engined Essenza SCV12track car that we first saw back in 2020. Come on Lambo, if you’re only going to make 40 of them for the 40 buyers of the Essenza, why not stick a V12 in there? Or at least strip out the interior and go full track day spec with the Urus? That’s what the Lamborghini of old would have done.

Instead, the Urus just gets that aforementioned ‘Ad Personam’ paint and plenty of exposed carbon fibre on the bonnet, roof and mirrors. There’s also gloss black 23-inch wheels and a black interior with much Alcantara and leather. There are two special plaques inside too – one that celebrates Lamborghini’s 60th birthday and one with the owner’s name. Oh, and the Essenza SCV12 logo is plastered onto the dashboard to remind you of the car you’d rather be driving.

Lamborghini Urus Going Hybrid Only Late 2024

Towards the end of next year, the Lamborghini Urus will only be offered in hybrid form ahead of the launch of an all-electric second-generation version in 2029.

The plug-in Urus will be the second plug-in hybrid Lamborghini after the launch of the Revuelto, company CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed to Autocar.

The hybrid will replace the pure-petrol V8 Urus in the line-up when it goes on sale towards the end of 2024 and stay on sale until close to the end of the decade.

That electric Urus will be the second electric Lamborghini after the 2028 launch of their first EV, which will be a fourth model line with no predecessor.
