Good day everyone. I was always able to connect via LAN(Ethernet) to equipment like a router, con configure the router, and simultaneously connect to the internet via my mobile dongle. I know that some setting on my laptop must have changed because all off a sudden I cannot do that anymore.

Any ideas how I can config my system to do that again?

What are the cable and wireless subnets?

When it worked they were probably different and if now being the same it would cause conflicts.

1st think to check is the mobile dongle (3g i assume) software often that the culprit. Check for options like Choose best connection, or see if the mobile software is trying to manage your wifi connection too.

Test connections separately:
- cable plugged and WiFi disabled
- cable unplugged and WiFi enabled

1. Do you have both separate connections up and running?
2. If answer is yes, then check metrics in the TCP adapter properties. If you prefer Internet flowing by cable, metrics parameter on the Ethernet adapter should be lower value than on the WiFi adapter.

If answer is no, then open command line window and post output "ipconfig /all" command. Mask MAC addresses to protect privacy.
