@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

Hey. I'm seriously considering getting bolt-on.

I haven't read through all 180 posts, please forgive me.

What's the issues with the system?

Will bolt-on be activated at 18h00 as they claim or can I only use the internet safely between 23h00 and 01h00?
Will gaming be possible after 18h00 or is everybody starting their downloads then? (used to happen after midnight on another ISP)

This problem has been resolved; prior to the billing run.

I  this. Thank you. I just peeked at my session info and my Package Data usage is spot on with my own calculations. This is really great. Thanks to all who worked on this.

hey guys..

I have just checked my bill online at lantic.net.. I have billing sections. One is Invoices recieved and the other is Statements.

The problem is the Invoice part says im owing R314.04 and the statements says im owing R133.04. I was not billed last month. I called the call centre to find out why i was not billed, and they responded by saying the billing had not been sorted out.

So which is my real amount which i will be billed for? I have not gone over 2GB during peak hours so the R314.04 amount is incorrect.

This is confusing!

Vox staff please assist

This thread has started to become a bit of a "support" route, which it is not. This thread was a discussion and ultimately a bug found in the Bolt-on product. For support related issues and billing, please contact @lantic normally.

That does sound good!

My Telkom line just got installed after moving, so I'll sign up this coming week. Looking forward to trying this product out!

Last month I was billed for an extra 2Gb I did not use. I sent a complaint to the accounts department and they credited me with 1Gb. I still had to pay for 1Gb. In the end I decided to pay since this product is great value and I did not want to slog through all my sessions. It was only R45 extra to pay. This month they found the bug and after they fixed it, my data usage was correct. I decided to forget about the error of last month, since I already paid it and my account for this month appeared to be correct. Surprise... surprise. I looked at my invoice today and they credited me again for the error of last month. Real nice. My internet bill for Atlantic this month is only R14. NICE. Thanks Atlantic for fixing this too, even without me needing to ask for it. This was a nice surprise.

Well I'm thinking about moving to @lantic and getting this bolt-on, more than a month later is everyone still experiencing full speed? I do wonder how long this will be available for, since one could download quite a lot on a 10mb line, for example?

I have a 1M line and I have never experienced anything but full speed. This weekend I downloaded a lot of data and I started downloading Friday Evening and I finally stopped Sunday afternoon. It ran full speed for the whole period. No shaping. I do not know if it will slow down when more and more people join, but currently I do not complain. I have already downloaded over 24Gb this month, for only R59 and the month has just started. Try that with any other ISP. I am not a download freak. Some days I never log in with Atlantic, but at times I want to update certain things and then it is nice to know I do not have to watch my data usage. I have software I use daily that uses lots of different resources (i.e. quite a few GB of data) and it is updated regularly, i.e. spelling errors etc. Atlantic allows me to keep my resources up to date.

I am really impressed with this product. Just got it yesterday and the speed was screaming and constant. I also had a problem logging on to theit site and sent a support email early this morning. As soon as I got into work they called and its is resolved. The signup process took a while to complete (I think @lantic need to rethink their signup form maybe), but other then that this product and service have been great. If the billing issue that some people had has been resolve I think I'll be very happy for a long time :)
