Laptop advice

My use case is using Outlook, browsing, Office work and keeping tabs open. I'm not a graphic designer. I guess both options are probably wayyy overkill for what I need but I need my new laptop to last me a LONG time. My last laptop was an i5 HP laptop that was stolen, I bought a second hand Mecer laptop for 3K (has built in SSD drive at least) which has been serving me for almost 2 years somehow.

Any suggestions?

I'm not the biggest apple fan but for your use case I would go with the Mac purely based on battery life. The storage would be a concern though but if you have fast internet there's always cloud storage or external SSD.

That said see what Flashgear has to offer.
